Bad day…

Heard some very upsetting news today. We’re waiting to confirm the circumstances and see what can be done.
We have intended to take a break from fostering for some time…now may be that time.

Ivy and other thoughts

We’ve not been as day-by-day lately, as we’ve been without internet access at home. Lorene’s head nearly exploded. But we’ve realized a couple of things about fostering that I wanted to share with you all.
Ivy is the first kitten we’ve kept to her age (about 12 weeks). Other litters we’ve [...]

Things NOT to feed a kitten

Today I took Ivy to the shelter. The foster care coordinator had prepared a lovely cozy place for her with fresh food and water. After showing Ivy off to the office staff, I hugged her and told her to be a good kitty and look especially cute. She went straight to the [...]

Fact #2) Ivy is on a boiled chicken diet.
Fact #3 and corollary to Facts #1 and #2) I am a naughty, [...]

We picked Ivy up from the clinic today. She’s once again a little bundle of energy! She is still quite small, but is no longer skin and bones like she was. We have to feed her boiled chicken for the next week to ensure her “runs” are over with, and then we’ll [...]

Ivy Update

Ivy is doing well, she has a lot of energy and is feeling very talkative, mostly complaining about being cooped up in the clinic. She’s on a diet of boiled chicken now and is under observation, since she’s still got the runs. We miss the little booglet, although our cats are [...]
