I stopped by and saw the kittens today, and they’re doing better! They mewed and ran up to me as I opened the cage door, and Karma purred and boonted my head and neck to say hello. After the worry and sorrow of the past week, I just about cried with happiness.

One of the kittens, Kitt, was so sick that she had to be humanely euthanized yesterday. She had the softest, silkiest fur, and we’ll miss getting to know her. The other kittens are hanging in there, more news Monday.

The past day has been a real rollercoaster ride. At first we were told that the kittens weren’t doing well and that they might have to be euthanized. Late this afternoon they were actually doing a bit better, and they will be staying at the vet’s for the weekend.
