There are many ways you can volunteer your time to help out the staff and animals at the Saskatoon SPCA!
Whatever your area of expertise, you're bound to find a job that's the right fit.
You can assist the SPCA with projects such as facility and property maintenance, repairs or upgrades to enhance our property and improve services provided to our community.
Time Commitment: To be determined by each project.
Qualifications: Enjoy building and designing Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of equipment and tools Ability to plan and develop
Orientation and Training: The Volunteer Coordinator will provide an overview of the project, including specific requirements, desired outcome and time lines.
Supervisor: The Volunteer Coordinator and the Shelter Director
Benefits: The satisfaction of assisting the SPCA with overall improvements of services provided while enhancing the overall appearance of the SPCA.
Responsibilities: (The following are examples and are not necessarily required at all times. As well, there may be other tasks identified through upcoming projects.) Gardening: Design Weed control Planting and landscaping Irrigation Maintaining Yard Care: Lawn care Snow removal Repair and maintenance Administrative Duties: Data entry Ticket writing Preparing mail outs (newsletters, appeals, campaigns, etc.) Assisting with taking care of animals: Walking Dogs Socializing Cats Grooming animals (brushing dogs/cats) Assisting our kennel staff: Doing dishes for the animals Doing laundry Help to feed and water the animals
Other Tasks as required by new projects.
