Indigo Annie - Slides 1 through 3

In February 2011, Indigo Annie, a puppy from the Clavet area, was found when a Saskatoon SPCA Animal Protection Officer responded to a call regarding an injured dog.  Originally believed to have been attacked by another animal, examination at the Small Animal Clinic revealed that Annie had been shot, most likely by a handgun.  After numerous procedures to address her wounds and swelling, Annie was returned to the Saskatoon SPCA in hopes of finding a caring person to adopt her.  We are ecstatic to report that on April 1, 2011, Annie found her happy home!

Fozzie - Slide 4

Meet Fozzie, one of the 84 dogs seized by the Saskatchewan SPCA in June 2010 that were handed over to be cared for by the Saskatoon SPCA.  Fozzie wasn't always the hearty animal her new owners have come to love.  Due to the extreme situation the animals were rescued from, Fozzie required some special care and attention on the road to regaining her strength and spirit, including a special supplement that helped her digest and aborb her food.  Saskatoon SPCA staff and partners at the Small Animal Clinic helped Fozzie regain her vivacious and adorable personality, and in January 2011, her new guardians from Ottawa, Ontario flew to Saskatoon to pick up their new best friend.  Now with a Malamute companion and over 24 acres of land to run, play, hide and sniff, Fozzie is a picture of great health, a source of endless happiness for her adoptive family and a source of great pride for the Saskatoon SPCA.

Turk - Slide 5

Turk was a case that required a little extra time and effort to find the right family for him.  While he was up for adoption, his loving demeanor had trouble coming across when he was in his kennel in the Adoption Centre.  Knowing how great he could be when out of his kennel, the Adoption Counsellors in the front office took it upon themselves to bring him into the front office with them, to showcase how great a dog he could be, and highlight his good behaviour to potential adopters.  Their hard work paid off, and you can view the video on slide 5 to see the story of him being adopted, as well as some footage of him in his new happy home.
