Victoria Olynik

Victoria Olynik found her love of all animals at 4yrs old when her parents bought a budgie bird and named him Sam. From then on she has always had a variety companion animals in her life. She tries to "be the person her dog thinks she is".

Victoria spent the last 7yrs as Manager of the Shuswap BC SPCA in Salmon Arm, BC. This role gave her valuable experience in animal medical issues, animal behavior rehabilitation, health & safety, animal cruelty investigations, volunteer recruitment and training, community fundraising, strategic planning and financial accountability. 

"We often had forest fires or other natural disasters to contend with too and you learn to move fast and have a plan...for people and animals".

During her time with the BC SPCA, Victoria and her husband Dean also fostered over 40 dogs and newborn puppies in their home. 

Prior to the BC SPCA, Victoria enjoyed 9yrs in a fast paced Human Resources (Calgary,AB) environment growing skills such as leadership & organizational development, recruitment, performance management, employee training and event planning.

Victoria and Dean now live in Dundurn,SK with their SPCA dog Lilly.
