Intake Procedure

It is our goal to balance the health and safety of our staff with our mission to improve the quality of life for companion animals in our community. Every animal brought into the shelter increases the incidence of human-to-human contact and the potential to spread COVID-19, therefore we are asking for your support to help care for the stray cat population at this time.

If you see a stray animal, call Saskatoon Animal Control Agency at 306 385 PETS and they will pick up the animal if it is safe to do so.

The Saskatoon SPCA is no longer able to provide Animal Protection Services as of April 1st, 2022. If you have an animal welfare concern (injury, illness, in distress, neglect or abuse) within city limits, please call 306-975-8478.
For animal welfare concerns outside the city of Saskatoon, call Animal Protection Services of Saskatchewan at 306-382-0002.

Finally, please ensure your pets are spayed/neutered, licensed with the City of Saskatoon, and remain on your property at all times. Fines for failure to license start at $250 and fines for animals running at large start at $100.

Thank you for your cooperation & stay safe, Saskatoon! We're all in this together.
